Guerlain Shine Rouge Automatique #221 Rouge de Damas: Swatches & Review
I’ve liked my first Guerlain Shine Rouge Automatique so much that I’ve decided to buy another shade — #221 Rouge de Damas.
Availability: at Guerlain counters app. in April-May.
Price: 35$ for 3.5 gr.
Limited Edition? No.
Final Thoughts: as I’ve mentioned in previos review this lipstick has a comfortable light texture, sheer shiny finish with shimmer, not very lasting, but nice to wear. My new shade #221 Rouge de Damas is a sheer cherry red with lots of silver shimmer. This time it has less pigment, but shimmer itself is very visible (I usually don’t buy as shiny staff) and give super-shiny finish. I would say I like my old one #220 Pour Troubler more, because shimmer in it is of better quality and the lipstick itself has better pigmentation and color payoff. When using #221 Rouge de Damas I need to apply two coats to make the color more visible. Also I don’t really like that I sometimes have this shimmer all over my face in the end of the day.
Please, read my review in Russian for maximum details on the product. Swatches and pictures are given below.
I’ve added two coats of lipstick for pictures of this product on lips and portraits because in one coats it looks almost colorless on me (because I already have a bright lip pigment), but with lots of shimmer. Two coats reveal the color better.
