Guerlain Shine Rouge Automatique #220 Pour Troubler: Swatches & Review
Accidentally I’ve got a tester of soon-to-come Guerlain Shine Rouge Automatique lipstick and can’t wait to share my opinion with you.
Availability: at Guerlain counters app. in April.
Price: 35$ for 3.5 gr.
Limited Edition? No.
Final Thoughts: an interesting combination of bright color, lightweight formula and classic Guerlain Rouge Automatique packaging (the will be in place when you buy it, looks like this). This new lipstick is applied smoothly, gives wet shiny finish, my bright shade lasts good as for such light formula (up to 6 hours). I haven’t noticed any lip care effect so far, but the product is not drying and quite nice to wear. I didn’t like the shimmer (I don’t really like it ever) and I was a bit disappointed that tester’s color looks quite different from the color on the lips. But still this product is very good as it is light, but more of a lipstick kind than of colored lip balm. So may wear the color with more comfort of you don’t like heavy creamy formulas.
Please, read my review in Russian for maximum details on the product. Brief color description is given below.
#220 Pour Troubler — quite different from what you may see looking at the tester. It’s rather cheery-red or even sherry-pink than berry red as it may appear. It has middle-size golden shimmer, wet finish and middle coverage.
I have few similar lipsticks. The most alike are both from Clinique — #05 Chunky Cherry (it’s more transparent if applied in one layer and much more wet) and Butter Shine Lipstick #434 Parisian Red (on the contrary is more dense, but more shimmer, definitely with similar color base). The other two (Clinique Almost Lipstick #37 Luscious Honey and YSL Volupte Sheer Candy #6 Luscious Cherry) has similar color base, but are very very transparent.
I’ve added an extra layer of the lipstick for the photo below to make color more realistic.
