YSL Vernis À Lèvres Glossy Stain #11 Rouge Gouache: Swatches & Review
I’ve recently asked my readers about upcoming lip products launches. YSL Vernis À Lèvres Glossy Stain was one of the most expected. And I think the same.
Availability: at YSL counters since Feb 2012.
Price: 32$ for 6 ml (US).
Limited Edition? No.
Final Thoughts: I think this is one of the launches is definitely one of the best I’ve every seen in lip products. It is truly innovative combination of lip gloss and lip stain properties. May be not 100%, but certainly successful. this product is long-lasting, with light texture, but with a good coverage, wet finish. It is almost as lasting as a stain, but not as dry and not as drying, it doesn’t absorbs as fast, so you have time to correct any faults. It is shiny as gloss, but without mirror finish and without shimmer like standart glosses. You may find it a bit drying after 3-4 days if you don’t use the lip balm. But not as bad as classic stains. And if you do use the balm, you probably wont’ notice this.
Please, read my review in Russian for maximum details on the product.
#11 Rouge Gouache — is bright raspberry-pink with wet finish and no shimmer in it.
This picture was taken in about 6 hours after I’ve applied the gloss in the morning. I’ve already had light lunch and some coffee, so the color is not as bright as on the lips.
