UNE Healthy-Glow Mineral Powder #H03: Swatches & Review
Have you already heard about UNE? It’s a relatively fresh makeup brand launched early 2010. It’s natural and organic (with ECOCERT certificate). Is memorable for it’s providing really natural shades. Not just wearable shades like e.g. Bobbi Brown, but natural in terms of colors you can find in human body. I’ve bought half a dozen of their products and today I’m reviewing UNE Healthy-Glow Mineral Powder #H03.
UNE Healthy-Glow Mineral Powder is finishing face powder that gives your face healthy look and glow. And it really does! Depending on the shade you can use it all over your face or on your nose/cheek bones/forehead/chin to get sun-kissed effect or as a blush or bronzer or corrector or highlighter or eyeshadows. Ok, it’s recommended to highlight your complexion with it, but I’ve found it works good also as subtile blush and eyeshadows. And darker colors will definitely works as bronzers/correctors.
What I also like about this powder that it is very delicate, soft to touch. It’s easy to apply and it last for all the day round. It has medium coverage and medium (perhaps light-to medium) color pay-off. It’s pigments are more light-reflecting than color giving. Still as this is a powder, not an original blush or eyeshadow I don’t think this should be counted as disadvantage. What really upsets me — it’s packaging. Slider is nice, but outer silver part of the box loose its looks fast. You can see my product after 9 months of usage and it was almost the same after two months. The good thing is that slider is not broken so far.
Ingredients: MICA, SILICA, SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS (JOJOBA) SEED OIL*, ZINC STEARATE, ZINC OXIDE, OLEA EUROPAEA (OLIVE) FRUIT OIL*, POTASSIUM SORBATE, CARTHAMUS TINCTORIUS (SAFFLOWER) SEED OIL, TOCOPHEROL, CITRUS GRANDIS(GRAPEFRUIT) FRUIT EXTRACT, GLYCINE SOJA (SOYBEAN) OIL, [+/- (MAY CONTAIN) : CI 77163 (BISMUTH OXYCHLORIDE), CI 77491, CI77492, CI 77499 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77007 (ULTRAMARINES), CI 77891(TITANIUM DIOXIDE)]. *ingredients from organic farming
Shade #H03 is kind of flesh shade, very neutral — you can get more pink or beige depending on current light you are in. But it doesn’t have distinguished yellow or pink undertones that can spoil you complexion. On the contrary — this shade is very refreshing, with powder, but light-reflecting finish (no shimmer, not too powdery).
There’re totally 7 shades in range. You can find some odd encoding of them at certains websites. The correct starts with «H» (according to official brand’s website).
Ok, you’ve seen this picture in some other posts of mine. Still it is the best swatch on the face I currently have. I used this healthy-glow powder as a light blush.

Limited Edition? No.
Final Thoughts: I love this finishing powder and use it really often to get healthy glow. Just as its name says. It may not be finishing powder in sense of the common loose powders because you won’t like to apply certain shades all over you face. But it will be the last step to give your face a glow. Can be also used as a blush, eyeshadows etc. depending on the shade. Contains useful ingredients as plant extracts and oils. It is reasonably priced. The upsetting thing is that the silver box loose its looks quickly.
