La Mer the Radiant Infusion
Today I’d like to tell one funny story about one good product which is — La Mer the Radiant Infusion. Actually it wasn’t that funny at the moment it happened, but now I can laugh. The case was I used this product for several months thinking that his was another La Mer product — the Radiant Serum. I even wrote a post about it and only after I looked at the photos in my post I’ve realized that this wasn’t the serum. I can’t really imagine have could this be. May be because of this classic brand’s greed bottles and «radiant» on the packaging, I don’t know. Of course, I’ve deleted the post, blushed for a week, continued to use my product. Now I’m ready with another post. This time I’ve looked carefully at the bottle 😉
the Radiant Infusion — according to product’s description is a next-generation infusion that delivers extreme radiance, clarity, pore-minimizing and tone. I was surprised when I realized that this is a toner actually, because the way you apply it and how it works is more like in serums product. I wrote more details about this product in Russian version of this review (you can go at the top of this post and use Google Translate), here I’ll highlight key details.
+ gives immediate results of bright skin whenever you feel tired — not enough sleep, too much party etc;
+ gives long-lasting results of reduced pores and this is not make up effect;
+ nice smell, pleasant gel-like texture, absorbs quickly;
+ you dont’ really need a lot of product, so a little goes a long way;
? I don’t really notice instant radiance results if may skin is averagely good. Considerable look and feel improvement is noticeable only when skin is in bad (tired) condition;
— skin feels tight after it absorbs the product. May this feeling caused by alcohol that you can find in the 3rd place of ingredients list.
I was using this product for about half a year and in general I’m very happy that I got it (thinking about buying next bottle). I tried it with and w/o moisturizer after, with classic Creme de la Mer and with products of other brands, tried it AM/PM, just Am or PM etc., etc. Now I think I’d like to use it PM only following my favorite night cream, which s actually Clinique Turnaround Overnight Radiance Moisturizer and occasionally as rescue-product when I need immediate glow or few days of skin restoration.
Availability: at La Mer counters.
Price: 95$ for 125 ml/4.2 fl. oz.
Final Thoughts: I love this product and though it is positioned as a toner, I think of it more as a serum. It gives me immediate benefits of glowing skin when I feel stressed, haven’t sleep for a long time, when I was sick or after party etc. The long-lasting benefit is that your pores become smaller over the time and this is not makeup period, but skin care effect. What I didn’t really like is that my skin feels tight after it absorbs the product. But anyway it doesn’t feel or look dry.
